The case where in a divorce settlement the judge ruled, against the wishes of both parents, that a child couldn't be exposed to his parents' religion, was overturned unanimously today in appeal! (Yes, I know all the people involved in the case, in case anyone was curious...)
Barring some info in the confidential report that wasn't leaked to the press when this story first came out I knew there was no way in hell the original decree would stand.
Part of me is a little miffed the Court of Appeals totally ducked the 1st Amendment Freedom of Religion issue, but I'm not surprised. If a court can find a simple rule and totally duck any constitutional issues it will.
