Poem

Wide-eyed, wild-eyed,
for a moment the man
is eclipsed by the boy.
He knows.
He remembers.
And deftly he rescues you,
gnaws free your dangerously-mired heart.

Holes?
An unavoidable consequence.
Well worth the cost.
Bleeding is irrelevant.
